Mattie “MT” Thomas brings something rare to the mental performance space: he is currently living the same arena he coaches in.
A current professional baseball player and former Division I Scholar-Athlete, MT pairs on-field experience at the highest amateur level with the academic rigor of an MBA — helping athletes train the mindset that separates good from great.
A left-handed-hitting first baseman and outfielder out of Granite Bay High School in Sacramento, California, MT was a multi-honor selection — named first-team all-league, all-city, and all-Metro as a high school standout before continuing his career at the Division I level.
At the University of San Francisco, MT competed as a Division I Scholar-Athlete while earning his Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. In 2024 he was honored on the West Coast Conference (WCC) All-Academic Team — a recognition reserved for student-athletes who excel at the highest level in both the classroom and on the field.
MT then transferred to the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) to compete in his final year of Division I baseball as a graduate student. He started at first base for the Highlanders while completing his MBA with a focus in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
